The Rocks

Revealing the stories in rocks.

Artist Carolyn Haas reveals the stories and images she finds in the natural formation of rocks.

Carolyn Haas has been a rock collector since she was a child. Recently she began to notice images in the rocks she was collecting and admiring on her daily creek walks with her beloved Corgi, Emil. Being a fine artist, she was intrigued and used digital technology to enhance the images. The process does not add anything to the image that is not already present in the rock. Her obsession with this practice has developed into a collection of art that appeals to rock enthusiasts, geologists and art lovers.

The Petroglyphics Art collection is available for public exhibition. Seeking to share this phenomenon with the world, the artist has created a collection of metallic prints ready for public display. To discuss an exhibit in your museum or gallery, please contact Carolyn.
